31 days or a month ago (May 23), I registered with i.ph
My first encounter with i.ph was when I visited Atty. Adrian Sison’s blog last year. Atty. Sison is one of the hosts of the radio program “The Broadcaster’s Bureau”. It’s aired on weekdays over DWBR FM-104.3 khz. I had been an occasional listener of the program while driving to work until it changed its time slot. I revisited his blog during the campaign period this year to monitor the Ang Kapatiran Party’s campaign progress. He’s one of the senatorial candidates of the party.
While searching for something, I came across i.ph again. Out of curiosity, I opened the site but had no plan of signing up. Nonetheless, I checked whether my nickname “Tom” was still available as username, yet expecting it wasn’t anymore. But, surprisingly, it was; and, I signed up.
After signing up, I thought of giving it up lest I could not maintain it. Also, I had no blogging experience; and I wasn’t a writer (I only write business correspondences).
On second thought, I better try it first before giving up. Anyway, I wouldn’t lose anything except the time I’d spend for it. First, I explored and checked other blogs and relevant sites to get some ideas on blogging. Then, I tested posting my first article. No topic in mind yet, I just posted about my registration entitled “I Just Registered”. The first to comment was Liz, who wished me good luck. She also invited me to join the i.ph forum. Still no topics in mind, my next posts were just text jokes, birthday greetings and the interview by Islandzine of Tsikot.com. The rest was history.
Highlights of my first 31 days of blogging:
1. I’ve already posted 26 articles, including this post;
2. From the time I’ve installed the site meter last June 8, my blog has been visited more than 215 times already (including my visits). Some of my visitors were from Australia, Japan, USA, Canada, Singapore;
3. To date, I’ve already earned a big sum of $0.41 from Google Adsense. I just signed up with Pay Per Post;
4. I found out that blogging is fun, enjoyable, educational and profitable.
My gratitude to those who’ve visited my blog, especially those who’ve given their comments and messages. And, my appreciation to those blogs that I’ve visited, where I learned and got ideas on how to improve my blogging and my site. (Have they improved?) Thanks also to the i.ph forum, where I got tips and answers.
Let’s keep on blogging.
Congratulations on your First 31 Days!
You’ve done so much in so short a time.
Keep it up, blogger!
BTW, thanks for visiting my site, too.
So should I say, Happy Blogging to both of us!
Wow! Congrats! You’ve accomplished all this in just a month? *galing* Give yourself a pat on the back. ^_^ You deserve it.
