For the past two years, I had my executive check-ups (ECU) done at the St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC). I found its ECU services good. Hence, this year, I was planning to have my ECU at the same hospital again. However, my office mate had hers in another hospital, Capitol Medical Center (CMC). I checked its ECU packages and decided on trying this hospital.
CMC offers four ECU packages:
I called up the hospital a week ago and scheduled my ECU for today for package “C”. At 8:00 PM last night, as required, I stopped taking anything by mouth.
This morning, I left home at 6:30 AM to give allowance for the traffic and arrived at the hospital at around 7:15 AM. My wifey, who wasn’t feeling well, came with me for her check-up. I proceeded to the Customer’s Relations Office; but, it was still closed until 8:00 AM.
When it opened, I discussed first with the coordinator my package; and, I modified it. Instead of package “C”, I took the package “D” and added one examination from package “C”. The total cost is P10,370 or P1,330 cheaper.
Here is the modified package:
X-RAY STUDIES
LABORATORY STUDIES
CARDIO EXAMINATION
ULTRASOUND
CONSULTATION
By and large, I think CMC’s Executive check-up services are good too. It took me four hours only to complete all the procedures. The waiting periods for each procedure are short, except for the ultrasound, where I waited an hour before my name was called. The only advantage of SLMC over CMC is it has free snacks and drinks (unlimited), reading materials, and internet access while comfortably waiting in its lounge.
