In an hour or two, we’re leaving Metro Manila by car for Legaspi City, Albay or, possibly, up to Matnog, Sorsogon. I’ve been to Legaspi City for a number of times by plane or by bus. And, this is the first time I’ll go there by car.
This trip was impromptu. We just decided to go there yesterday afternoon. We were planning to go out of town this long holidays but hadn’t decided yet where to go. I suggested to my wifey the four Bs - Boracay, Baguio, Bicol or bahay (house). She didn’t like the idea of traveling by sea at this time. Boracay’s out. Baguio’s also out as we’ve been there several times. She picked Bicol over bahay. But, later, she had second thoughts. Yesterday, we met with her sister and her family at Trinoma. While eating, the travel to Bicol was discussed; and we agreed to push through with the trip with them.
The travel from Metro Manila to Legaspi City is about 12 hours. I’m planning to stay half-day and overnight in between, probably in Daet, Camarines Norte. Then, drive the following morning for Legaspi City.
